HAVING PERIOD PAIN IN THE OFFICE? THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN DO
Oh well ladies, I understand how irritating it is to have menstrual cramps bothering you while at work. An expert says that women who suffer period pain should be granted 3 days off work a month. Hmm.. Do you think this policy will be regulated here in Malaysia? I’ll leave that to you.
So… Here are the things you can do if you have period cramp at work.
1. Skip the caffeinated drinks
Some of you coffee lovers out there, unfortunately today’s not the day for you. Caffeine is a no-no when you are having your period as it constricts blood vessels which will worsen the cramp. Skip the coffe and have some tea like Chamomile Tea or Lemongrass with Ginger Tea to ease your pain and bloatness.
2. Walk around
Believe it or not, exercising while you have period cramps makes you feel a lot better. While you’re at the office, just walk around, this will stimulate your muscles to release feel-good endorphines and that has been known to decrease menstrual pain in most women.
3. Get a heat pack
Heat is essential when you’re suffering in period pain so a heat pack is the best for you during such painful time. Stay warm and drink warm liquid but remember, no caffiene! The theory is the easier your blood flows, the less painful your cramps will be.
4. Order prescription from TELEME!
Consult a doctor through Teleme regarding your menstrual pain and if required, the doctor will prescribe menstrual medication to you. You’ll have the option to get the medication delivered to you and you don’t have to travel to the clinic while you’re suffering in pain!
